Help cheer on Minnesota Brass as they prepare for the 2012 DCA World Championships in Annapolis Maryland!  The corps’ final local performance is at Sounds of Minnesota on Friday, August 17 in South St. Paul.  Other performers include Minne Brass, the defending DCA A-Class World Champion Govenaires of St. Peter, Minnesota and the crowd favorite Kilties of Racine, Wisconsin.  Tickets are on sale now!
DCI Minnesota 2012 It’s the only time all year that the defending DCA World Champion Minnesota Brass share the field with the DCI World Champion Cadets!  The region’s largest drum corps show returns to TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota for an amazing show of 25 drum corps.  Tickest are on sale now.
River City Rhapsody 2012 The Minnesota drum corps season kicks off on Saturday, June 23 at EastRidge High School in Woodbury!  Join MINNESOTA BRASS, the MADISON SCOUTS, the BLUE STARS and five other outstanding corps for a great evening of entertainment!  Tickets are on sale now!  
2012: Bonnie & Clyde Bonnie and Clyde is the type of gritty storytelling that we love to bring to the drum corps audience. The show will tell the story of two depression-era lovers who chose a life of crime and paid the ultimate price for it set against the backdrop of 30's jazz. Music Includes: Summertime by George Gershwin • It Don’t Mean a Thing if It Ain’t Got That Swing by Duke Ellington • Speechless by Lady Gaga • Medeas' Dance of Vengeance by Samuel Barber.  We have a few spots left in the hornline and color guard.  Learn more about the show and how you can become a member.
2011 CHAMPIONS  Minnesota Brass made history tonight winning the 2011 DCA Drum Corps Championships. This is the first championship win in the history of the MBI organization. The corps threw it down on the field in finals and gave a stunning emotional performance that will always be remembered. This achievement is the result of years of program development, evolution and strong support from staff, volunteers, alumni and friends. The entire MBI family maintains a commitment to excellence and is proud of this achievement. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making this year's corps and show the organization's best so far.

MBI Winter Ensembles Achieve at WGI

Minnesota Brass Indoor Drumline and MBI Winter Guard Achieve at WGI
Championships: Drumline Wins Silver!
Minnesota Brass ensembles performed with passion and distinction during a
whirlwind pair of weekends at the Winter Guard International World
Championships in Dayton Ohio.
On April 21, The Minnesota Brass Indoor Drumline achieved its highest
placement ever, taking home the silver medal in Independent Open Class
competition. The drumline competed against 22 units from across the
country and placed second in both Preliminary and Finals competition.
Their show, "Do Not Go Gentle" used the poetry of Dylan Thomas as its
inspiration. WGI Blogger Mike Reed commented on the groups Wonderful
blend and balance and lauded the ensemble's display of musicality. The
Indoor Drumline is also the 2011 Minnesota Percussion Association
Independent Open Class champion.
A week earlier on April 14, the MBI Winter Guard also achieved success as a
finalist in WGI Championship Competition. The guard entered finals after
two rounds of preliminary competition  which started with 29 different
ensembles. The guard placed 14th and was the only color guard from the
Upper Midwest to make the final cut. Their 2011 production, Turning
Tables featured music of Adele.
Congratulations to all the members, staff and volunteers who helped make
this such a successful season for our winter ensembles!

Minnesota Brass Performs at Minnesota Twins Home Opener

Turn on your television sets on April 9th at 2:50PM to watch members of
Minnesota Brass perform the National Anthem at Target Field for the
Minnesota Twins Home Opener. The performance will be topped off with a
B-52 flyover, courtesy of the 5th Bomb Wing of Minot Air Force Base, and a
display of fireworks. Minnesota Brass will also entertain the pre-game
crowd with with some pep band favorites including the Minnesota Twins
fight song.
In addition to being an exhilarating experience for Minnesota Brass
members, this performance will be an important opportunity to present the
drum corps sound to a live audience of over 40,000 plus countless more via
television and the internet. The Twins organization has also graciously
alloted time on the stadium jumbotron for brief video presentations on
Minnesota Brass and local drum corps events including DCI Minnesota on
July 14th, 2012 at TCF Bank Stadium.
This performance is produced by Minne-Brass, the entertainment
"mini-corps" of Minnesota Brass that performs at a multitude of special
events throughout the year. The group will feature 23 brass players, 4
percussionists, and conductor Brent Turner. Musical arrangements are by
Todd Tanji and Roger Grupp.
